We don’t have our own Skinport code or referral link, so there is no DAKEbits promo code here; the button opens skinport.com. Skinport is a skin marketplace run by Skinport GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany: players sell CS2, Dota 2, Rust and TF2 items to each other, and sellers cash out to a bank. Its blog says it was founded in 2019.
What a Skinport code gets you
Nothing extra. Skinport’s only codes are affiliate codes, also called partner codes or creator codes. A code sends part of Skinport’s revenue from your purchase to a YouTuber, streamer or website that Skinport has approved. Skinport says using one “doesn’t cost you anything extra”: no discount, no free balance, no welcome bonus, and no referral code that rewards the person who signs up. A page promising a Skinport bonus code describes nothing on Skinport’s site.
How Skinport creator codes work
Since August 2026 each creator has a code, not only a link. Open a creator’s skinport.com/r/ link and the code is filled in, or press “Add Partner Code” at checkout and type it; an unknown code returns “Partner code not found”. Creators apply by email through Skinport’s Affiliate page; the rough thresholds are 5,000 YouTube subscribers, 50 average Twitch viewers or 5,000 website views, with no guarantee of approval. Its “Redeem your reward” page is for giveaway prize codes, not discounts.
How to buy on Skinport
- Create an account with an email address, or sign in through Steam (a Steam account at level 3 or higher and older than three months), and add your trade URL. You must be 18.
- Pick items in the market; prices are shown in your country’s currency, and there is no buyer fee.
- Pay with the methods shown at checkout, which depend on where you are: cards, Apple Pay, PayPal (USD, EUR and GBP), iDEAL or Alipay, for example.
- The item lands in “My Items”. Send it to your own Steam account by trade offer; a trade-locked item can be withdrawn once the lock ends. No refunds, and no sending to a friend.
Selling skins on Skinport
Skinport is a marketplace, not a trade bot: there is no instant sell. You set the price, choose a public or a private listing and accept the trade offer from a Skinport bot; Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator must have been on for 15 days. You can change the price or take items back any time before they sell. Items still under Steam’s 7-day trade protection can be listed but stay hidden until it ends. More options: where to sell CS2 skins for real money.
Skinport fees
- Selling: 8% of the sale price, cut from 12% in July 2025. Public listings from €1,000 ($1,000, £800) pay 6%; private listings reachable only by direct link pay 2%. The fee is rounded up to the cent, includes VAT and comes off the buyer’s payment.
- Buying: no buyer fee. Registration and listing are free.
- Payouts: free from Skinport’s side.
Skinport payouts
Sellers get money, not site balance: the FAQ says sale proceeds can’t buy skins “due to legal reasons”. The money reaches your seller account 1–2 business days after the sale, then goes to a bank account in your own name, once a day by default; the transfer takes 1–3 business days, and the minimum is €10 in the site’s settings. Bank transfer is the only method in the FAQ; the seller settings also list Visa and Mastercard cards. Seller accounts exist in 40 countries: all EU states, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Monaco, the Isle of Man, Jersey, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. Elsewhere you can buy but not sell.
Skinport KYC: when it asks for ID
Every seller goes through Adyen’s Know Your Customer checks in tiers: personal data first, then documents that verify it, then a bank-account check. Payouts pause when your sales reach a tier’s threshold until the next step is done; the site’s settings for the euro area show €1,000 and €5,000, and the top tier removes the limit. Adyen can ask for full verification at any time.
Is Skinport legit?
Skinport is a German company with a legal notice, and a marketplace, not a gambling site: no cases, no bets. We read its public pages on 22 October 2026 but didn’t buy or sell.
- Licence. None stated or needed. Operator: Skinport GmbH, Stuttgart (Amtsgericht Stuttgart, HRB 764879), managing director Tristan Milla.
- Fairness. Sellers set their prices; Skinport is the merchant of record and payments run through Adyen N.V. Only items past Steam’s trade protection are shown for sale, so a purchase can’t be reversed.
- Where it’s blocked. It isn’t on any of the regulator block lists we checked, and its terms name no banned countries; selling is limited to the 40 countries above.
- Your balance. There is none to spend: sale proceeds can only be paid out to a bank.
- Reviews. On Trustpilot, Skinport has a TrustScore of 4.8 out of 5 from 35,282 reviews, and under 1% of them give one star (checked 22 October 2026). Trustpilot says Skinport asks its customers for reviews.
- Compared with other sites. Legit CS2 skin trading sites: licences, regulator bans and Trustpilot scores side by side.
