Where to sell Rust skins for real money

Short answer: of the marketplaces we cover, three buy Rust skins for real money: Lis-Skins pays to cards, SBP or crypto, and Avan.market and Moon.market also pay to PayPal. Steam’s 7-day trade protection covers only CS2 items, so Rust sales there don’t wait for it. The Steam Community Market pays only into your Steam Wallet, which you can’t cash out.

Which sites buy Rust skins for cash

From each marketplace’s own pages, checked on 20 October 2026. Each one buys the items itself at a price it quotes before you confirm.

Site How you get paid What it takes When ID check
Lis-Skins Card, SBP or crypto (14+ options), depending on your country, or site balance Its own price, which its FAQ says is a little below Steam; the payout fee depends on the method and is shown before you confirm; minimum deal $1 for all games Its FAQ ties the 8-day wait to CS2 skins; most payouts then take 1–3 minutes, cards up to 3 business days Can be asked before any withdrawal
Avan.market PayPal, cards, SBP, bank transfer, USDT, BTC, ETH, LTC, Solana and more, or site balance Its own offer; items worth less than $0.20 aren’t bought; fixed network fee for crypto payouts, a percentage for bank methods; minimum payout about $3 Not held: its help centre says only CS2 items wait 7 days; crypto then usually within minutes, PayPal within a few business days Only if its anti-fraud checks flag the account
Moon.market PayPal, cards (RUB, KZT, UAH, EUR), BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC, Blik and more, or site balance Its own fixed price; then the method’s fee, e.g. PayPal 5% + $4, EUR cards 4%, crypto 0.5% + $1–5; minimum $0.50 per item and $10 per deal Its 7-day hold is for CS2 sales; a deal takes 5–30 minutes, crypto up to 30 minutes, bank transfers 1–2 business days None for standard payouts; ID can be asked under its anti-money-laundering rules

Three other marketplaces we cover don’t buy Rust skins for cash at the moment. Tradeit.gg lists Rust selling, but its Sell Rust page says the feature is under maintenance; you can still swap Rust skins there. SkinsMonkey trades Rust skins only for site balance, which can’t be withdrawn. SkinBaron deals in CS2 items only.

Sell Rust skins for PayPal

Avan.market and Moon.market pay out to PayPal. Moon lists the PayPal fee as 5% + $4, so for small sales crypto or a card costs less. Avan says PayPal payouts take up to a few business days, while crypto usually arrives within minutes. Lis-Skins pays to cards, SBP and crypto instead.

Sell Rust skins for crypto

All three pay in crypto: Lis-Skins in 14+ coins, Avan.market in USDT (TRC20, BEP20 or ERC20), Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana, TRON and BNB, and Moon.market in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, USDT (TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 or TON), TRX and USDC. Check the network before you withdraw: a USDT payout on TRC20 can’t be received on an Ethereum address.

Can you sell Rust skins instantly?

Closer than with CS2. Steam’s trade protection, the 7-day window in which a trade can be reversed, covers only Counter-Strike 2 items, so marketplaces don’t have to hold Rust sales for it. Avan.market says other games aren’t affected by its 7-day delay, and Moon.market’s hold balance is for CS2 sales only; Moon says a deal takes 5–30 minutes. What can still slow you down is your own Steam account, below.

Steam trade holds for Rust items

Rust items follow Steam’s older trade hold rules (we checked Steam Support on 18 October 2026):

  • If your account hasn’t had the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least the last 7 days, items leaving your account are held by Steam for up to 15 days.
  • Once the authenticator has been on for 7 days, your items are no longer held.
  • If you cancel a trade that Steam is holding, Steam assumes someone else made it and blocks trading on your account for 7 days.

Marketplaces add their own conditions: Avan.market, for example, asks for Steam Guard on for 15 days, the Steam app installed for 7 days and no password change in the last 5 days. For CS2 items the rules are different: our guide to CS2 trade protection explains them.

Selling vs depositing on a Rust gambling site

Depositing Rust skins on a gambling site turns them into a balance on that site, at that site’s price, to play with; it isn’t cash. Selling to a marketplace gets you money. If you want to play with your skins, our list of Rust gambling sites shows which ones take Rust deposits, with our codes and their restricted countries. 18+ only.

Before you sell

  • Compare the price you get, not just the fee: each site quotes its own price for each item, and cheap items may not be bought at all (Avan skips anything under $0.20; Moon needs at least $10 per deal).
  • Sign in only on Steam’s own page (steamcommunity.com) and never give anyone your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or Web API key.
  • Accept the trade offer in Steam itself and check the items and the bot before you confirm.
  • Be careful selling to strangers on Discord: once the skin has left your account, a payment that never arrives can’t be undone through Steam.
  • Start with one cheap item to see the money arrive.
