Provably fair checker

Check that a site didn’t change its server seed after you played, and get the round’s hash to compare with the site’s own verifier.

Shown once you change or rotate your seed pair.

Yours: the site lets you see or change it.

The bet’s number in that seed pair: 0 or 1 for the first bet, depending on the site.

Server seed check

Paste the revealed server seed and the hash to compare.

SHA-256 of the server seed

—

HMAC-SHA256 (key: server seed, message: client seed:nonce)

—

Each site turns a hash like these into a result in its own way: its fairness page shows the formula and usually has its own verifier. If the server seed check fails, ask the site why.

How to use it

  1. Before you play, note the hashed server seed and your client seed from the site’s fairness or seeds page.
  2. Rotate your seed pair when you want to check. The site then reveals the old server seed.
  3. Paste the revealed server seed and the hash you noted. The checker hashes the seed with SHA-256 and compares the two. It accepts the hash in hex or in Base64, which is how Chicken.gg shows it.
  4. Add your client seed and the nonce to get the round’s HMAC-SHA256, and compare it with the site’s own verifier or formula.

What a match proves

A match shows the site committed to that server seed before you played, so it couldn’t pick a seed to suit your bet. It doesn’t change the odds: the house edge is built into the payouts and drop chances. Our provably fair guide explains the whole process, and our case odds calculator shows what a case costs on average.

Your seeds stay with you

Everything runs in your browser: the seeds you paste aren’t sent to us or to anyone else. Check seeds you have already rotated; a server seed is only revealed once its pair is finished.

A matching hash shows the seed wasn’t changed after the round; it doesn’t change the house edge. Gambling involves risk of loss. 18+ only.
